Big 6 Steps:

Step #1
1.1
Define the information problem
Our teacher, Mr. Garrison, wants us to do these 7 steps:
1. Create a company logo.
2. Put Big 6 Steps on Wiki page.
3. Create 10 Questions using the Big 6 model and get Mr.Garrison's approval.
4. Decide on how the information will be presented.
5. Tag wiki pages for grading.
6. For Big6 3.2 use "Wonder Wheel" and Skitch to create search terms.
7. Bookmark 20 websites on diigo and have at least 2 sources highlighted on those web pages for each question.

1.2
Identify the information you need in order to complete the task (to solve the information problem)
Q1: How are solar panels eco-friendly?
Q2: What happens to the sun’s energy on earth?
Q3: How do solar panels work?
Q4: What does the solar energy do to us?
Q5: How does the sun make energy?
Q6: What is solar energy?
Q7: Why is the sun so important to us?
Q8: How is solar energy useful?
Q9: How could solar energy help us and planet earth?
Q10: Why do humans use solar instead of other types of alternative energy?

Step #2

Determine the range of possible sources (brainstorm)
  • Google
  • Books

Step #5

5.1
Organize information from multiple sources
We highlighted important facts on the websites that we put on diigo. Then, we put them together to create our presentation.

5.2
Present the information
Our Glogster, Scratch, Google Presentation, and our invention is our presentation. The presentation is on the top.
